Learn facts about anxiety that will change how you interact with and understand anxiety. Unfortunately, a lot of anxiety is related to the way we think about it, but we can change our perception. Workplace abuse is a common trigger for anxiety, and by the end of this session, you’ll:

  1. Understand what anxiety is and how it looks.
  2. Know how you can change the way you think in order to manage your anxiety.
  3. Understand how to recognize anxiety in others as well as to help support others with their own anxiety.

 

Maryellen is a licensed mental health therapist and owner of Pittsford Therapy in Rochester, NY. Maryellen is also a professor of psychology at a local university. Maryellen has a podcast called “Okay-ish,” which is all about debunking myths and misunderstandings related to mental health. Maryellen is on a mission to strip away the stigmas surrounding therapy and mental health and to talk about how we can use the culture of self-improvement for our benefit rather than our demise.
