Understanding Anxiety When You're A Target of Workplace Bullying

Workplace bullying creates a breeding ground for a host of mental, emotional, and physical health issues. Her talk will offer targets some tools and techniques to identify signs of anxiety and appropriate referral sources. By the end of her session, you will understand anxiety in-depth and identify and gain skills to reduce anxiety.
Shelley is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor in the state of Wisconsin. She has 22 years in the field of mental health and drug and alcohol counseling serving clients ages 5-75 at various levels of care. Shelley has worked in residential and group home settings, the prison system, a school day treatment program, an inpatient treatment center, as an Employee Assistant Program specialist, for a drug court, and as an outpatient counselor. Shelley has counseled individuals, families, and couples who have presented with a myriad of diagnosis.
In 2018, after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Shelley opened a private practice in which she sees clients solely online from her home office. Her current niche is serving adults living with chronic health challenges, anxiety, depression, and/or substance abuse issues. She also enjoys working with families and couples.
Shelley incorporates techniques from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and meditation in her sessions. She is currently in Reiki training and hopeful to incorporate Reiki into her practice in 2022. Shelley is married and has a 12 year old daughter and 11 year old son. The family also has two Labradors. Shelley and her family enjoy camping, board games, cross country skiing, kayaking, and anything they can do together. Shelley’s husband knows she is a free spirit, so it isn’t uncommon for her to travel across country to see family, including her family in England.
